Elipson A2700

The A2700 is a stereo power amplifier from Elipson, designed to drive demanding speakers in two-channel configuration or in bridged mono mode. It is designed to work with the Elipson P1 preamplifier, forming a dedicated power set for high fidelity installations.

In stereo, it delivers 2 x 400 W RMS at 8 Ohms and 2 x 710 W RMS at 4 Ohms, with a peak power of 2 x 750 W at 4 Ohms. Bridged to mono, it reaches 1400 W RMS at 8 Ohms, with a peak of 2500 W, enough to power particularly current-hungry speakers. Its harmonic distortion remains very low, below 0.005% at 100 W and 0.003% at 1 W at 8 Ohms, while intermodulation distortion does not exceed 0.01% at 100 W: values that reflect a clean signal reproduction, without added colouration. The damping factor of 1000 at 8 Ohms between 20 Hz and 2 kHz indicates very firm control of the loudspeakers, particularly in the bass. The bandwidth extends from 2 Hz to 60 kHz at -3 dB at 4 Ohms, and the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 119 dB on the balanced input, guaranteeing a particularly quiet noise floor.

This type of amplifier is aimed at high fidelity installations already built around a separate preamplifier, where a large power reserve and great neutrality of reproduction are sought. Its stereo or mono modularity makes it a relevant choice both for driving a pair of demanding speakers and for powering a subwoofer or a single speaker requiring a lot of current.
