Description
The Elipson Bell 6 is a coaxial 2-way ceiling speaker in a bass-reflex configuration. Its water-drop shape allows 360° sound diffusion, designed to provide sound coverage for generous volumes with a good ceiling height, in both residential and professional settings.
It features a 165 mm coaxial driver paired with a 13 mm tweeter, for consistent reproduction from bass to treble. Its frequency response spans from 70 Hz to 20 kHz, with a crossover frequency set at 8000 Hz between the two drivers. The 8 ohm impedance and 87 dB/1W/1m sensitivity make it compatible with most amplifiers suited to this type of installation. Its power handling reaches 100 watts.
The housing is made of ABS and protected by a metal grille, a choice of materials suited to a fixed, discreet ceiling installation. The speaker is supplied with a 1.80 m cable and a carabiner intended to secure the ceiling mounting.

What to check before buying used
On a ceiling speaker left in place for several years, the coaxial driver's suspension can crack or harden, affecting bass reproduction: it is worth checking its flexibility and the absence of any unwanted noise at high volume. The 13 mm tweeter and the metal grille should also be checked, as the latter may be deformed or corroded after recessed mounting. Finally, examine the ABS housing for any cracks related to removal, as well as the condition of the 1.80 m cable and the mounting carabiner.
