Description
The Connect 250 is a compact stereo integrated amplifier, operating on class D digital amplification. It is designed to drive a pair of passive speakers while handling audio signal reception via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, without requiring a dedicated wired source.
Its stated power output is 2x50 watts into 4 ohms (2x30 watts into 8 ohms), with a total harmonic distortion rate below 0.1% and a signal-to-noise ratio of 102 dB, values that reflect clean reproduction at typical listening levels. The 300 mV input sensitivity and 1.5 V maximum input voltage define the signal levels compatible with its inputs. The built-in DAC processes digital streams at 24-bit / 44.1 kHz, and the unit incorporates Bluetooth 5.0 SBC as well as Wi-Fi, with compatibility for Spotify, Deezer, Qobuz and Tidal. An RJ45 Ethernet port, a 3.5 mm mini-jack input, a 3.5 mm mini-jack output and an input for a remote infrared repeater complete the connections.
The Elipson multiroom function allows simultaneous playback across multiple devices, up to ten rooms, and the Elipson BT app (Android and iOS) allows each unit on the network to be renamed. The Connect 250 is also compatible with other products in the Elipson Connect range within this multiroom setup.
This compact format (120 x 30 x 120 mm for 240 g) and the presence of two mounting brackets make it a unit designed for wall or false-ceiling mounting, including in humid environments, which is particularly suited to a discreet installation in a kitchen, bathroom or small space, or as a building block of a multiroom system spread across several rooms.

What to check before buying used
The Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module and its built-in antenna warrant a range and connection stability test before purchase, as a reception fault would be difficult to diagnose afterwards. Also check that the infrared repeater input functions correctly, along with the unit's recognition by the Elipson BT app in multiroom configuration. The mini-jack sockets, used with every connection, should remain firm and free of loose contact.
