Description
The Elipson Heritage XLS 11 is a compact 3-way bookshelf speaker, designed with front-firing bass-reflex tuning. Its reinforced MDF cabinet and vintage aesthetic make it suited to discreet installation, without sacrificing the sonic ambition of the system.
The 21 cm woofer with cellulose cone is derived from the Heritage XLS 15 model, while the 55 mm treated dome midrange covers nearly three octaves and the 22 mm silk dome tweeter shares its design with the Prestige Facet model. Frequency response extends from 45 Hz to 25 kHz, with crossover points at 850 and 5,000 Hz, ensuring a progressive distribution of work between the three drivers. A fine amplitude adjustment of 2 dB on the midrange and treble allows the sound to be tailored to the listening room or the user's preferences. With a sensitivity of 90 dB, an impedance of 6 ohms and a recommended amplification of 50 to 150 W, it pairs well with moderately powered amplifiers.

What to check before buying used
The midrange and tweeter domes, more exposed than the woofer, deserve careful visual inspection: check for any deformation, perforation or impact marks on the silk and treated dome. The removable foam bung in the bass-reflex port may deform or come loose over time, which alters the acoustic loading of the woofer. Also check that the amplitude adjustment potentiometer operates without crackling or dead zones when turned.
