Description
The Elipson Infinite IW6 is a 2-way speaker designed to be recessed directly into a wall, allowing a room to be sonically equipped without any visible equipment on show. It can be used as a main speaker, as a rear speaker in a home cinema configuration, or for classic stereo listening.
The midrange/woofer driver measures 160 mm and combines carbon fibre with PMI foam, a combination intended to bring together lightness and rigidity for a fast, precise reproduction, including at low frequencies. The tweeter, a 25 mm titanium dome, can be angled up to 35° in any direction, allowing the treble dispersion to be adjusted towards the listening area. The crossover frequency between the two drivers is 3,600 Hz.
With an impedance of 8 Ω and a sensitivity of 88 dB / 1 W / 1 m, this speaker remains compatible with the majority of common audio and home cinema amplifiers. Its power handling of 100 W and its frequency response of 60 Hz to 30 kHz (± 3 dB) allow it to cover a wide sonic range, suited to both music and film soundtracks.

What to check before buying used
Check the condition of the carbon fibre and PMI foam suspension on the midrange/woofer driver: sagging or tearing affects low-frequency performance. Check that the titanium tweeter dome is not dented or warped and that the 35° pivoting mechanism remains smooth with no excessive play. Also examine the finishing grille and the recessed mounting fixings, which are often marked by wall installation and sometimes missing on a unit that has already been fitted.
