The Planet M is a bookshelf speaker from Elipson, designed as a continuation of the Planet L, from which it retains certain acoustic design principles. Its compact format allows it to be easily integrated into a living room or listening room without imposing significant visual bulk.
The technical heart of this speaker relies on a 2-way coaxial driver: the woofer and tweeter transducers are aligned on the same axis, a configuration designed to improve spatial coherence of the sound and limit time delays between frequencies, for a more precise sound image regardless of the listening angle.
The Planet M is aimed at music enthusiasts seeking a compact speaker capable of adapting to different installation configurations. It can suit shelf use as well as wall mounting, stand mounting or ceiling mounting, depending on the needs of the room.
Several mounting accessories exist for this speaker: a wall bracket in brushed steel finish (0.24 kg per piece), a ceiling bracket sold in pairs in the same finish (0.56 kg), as well as floor stand and recessed mount versions. A complementary subwoofer, the Planet SUB, also allows the bass of the installation to be extended.

What to check before buying used
The coaxial driver, the technical heart of the Planet M, must be examined closely: woofer cones and central tweeter free of tears, discolouration or dents. Check the cabinet (corners, veneer, absence of swelling linked to humidity) as well as the condition of the connection terminals at the rear. If an original wall or ceiling bracket comes with the speaker, check that the brushed steel shows no corrosion or play in the fixing, which are essential for reliable support of the speaker.
