Description
The Planet Sub is an active subwoofer from Elipson, designed to reinforce the bass register of a Hi-Fi or home cinema system. Its cylindrical silhouette breaks away from traditional subwoofer formats and allows it to blend discreetly into a listening room, whatever its location.
The 20 cm woofer, loaded in bass-reflex, faces downwards. This configuration allows for free placement within the room, without any need to orientate it towards the listener. The Class D digital amplification delivers up to 200 Watts, a power level that allows the subwoofer to reach down to 30 Hz and produce bass that is both deep and precise.

What to check before buying used
The subwoofer relies on Class D electronics: testing at several volume levels allows you to check for the absence of hiss, hum, or unwanted cut-outs from the automatic standby function. The cylindrical shape requires checking the condition of the base and the absence of any cracks in the casing, which plays a part in the bass-reflex loading.
