Elipson Prestige Facet II 11C

The Prestige Facet II 11C is a centre speaker designed by Elipson to fit within the Prestige Facet II range, alongside the bookshelf and floorstanding models from the same series. Its role is to accurately reproduce dialogue and on-screen sound effects centred on the screen, a key function in a home cinema setup.

The speaker adopts a two-way sealed-box architecture, combining two 140 mm midrange-woofer drivers with a 25 mm soft dome tweeter. The midrange-woofer cones feature a central metal phase plug that improves control of their movement, limits turbulence and absorbs unwanted vibrations: in practice, this results in more stable mids and vocals reproduced with less distortion. A synthetic rubber surround, custom-cut around each driver, reduces baffle effect and diffraction, resulting in a more linear frequency response.

With a sensitivity of 92 dB/1W/1m and an impedance of 6 ohms, this centre speaker is compatible with amplifiers of moderate power while handling up to 120 W RMS. Its frequency response extends from 55 Hz to 25 kHz (± 3 dB), covering most of the vocal spectrum and central sound effects.

It is aimed at home cinema enthusiasts wishing to complete an Elipson Prestige Facet II setup with a coherent centre channel, or more broadly at any configuration where dialogue clarity is a priority. The internal crossover, fitted with polypropylene film capacitors, metal-film resistors and low-resistance inductors, along with the screw-terminal binding posts with silver-plated connectors supporting bi-wiring or bi-amping, are aimed at a user attentive to sound reproduction quality.
