Description
The Rain 6 is a 2-way speaker from Elipson, designed for sound reproduction in both outdoor and indoor living spaces. It combines a 25 mm dome tweeter with a 165 mm midrange/woofer driver, providing sound diffusion suited to open environments such as terraces, gardens, conservatories or porches, as well as professional spaces such as bars, restaurants, kitchens or spas.
Its ultra-rigid, UV-treated cabinet and rustproof grille allow it to withstand a wide range of climatic conditions, from -25°C to +70°C. It also offers splash resistance certified to IPX4, making it suitable for use near water. With an impedance of 8 ohms, a power handling of 120 watts and a sensitivity of 89 dB, it delivers a frequency response of 80 Hz to 20 kHz, covering most of the audible spectrum for ambient or background outdoor listening.
The integrated wall mounting system is adjustable through 180°, allowing the sound diffusion to be adjusted according to the layout of the space and optimising sound coverage without the need for an additional stand.
This speaker is aimed at those wishing to provide long-lasting sound to an outdoor or semi-outdoor space, whether for residential use around a swimming pool or garden, or for professional use in an establishment welcoming the public outdoors.

What to check before buying used
Check the surrounds of the 165 mm midrange/woofer driver: prolonged exposure to the elements can cause them to stiffen or crack, especially on a model intended for outdoor use. Also inspect the cabinet and rustproof grille for signs of corrosion, cracks or UV-related discolouration, as well as the condition of the seal ensuring IPX4 certification. Finally, test the 180° adjustable mounting system to make sure it pivots without excessive play or sticking.
