Description
The Rain 8 is a 2-way floorstanding speaker from Elipson, designed to provide sound for outdoor or damp spaces without compromising on sound quality. It can be installed by a swimming pool, in a garden, under a veranda or porch, as well as in a professional environment such as a bar, restaurant or café terrace.
The ultra-rigid, UV-treated cabinet and rust-proof grille protect the speaker from external damage, while its IPX4 certification allows it to withstand splashes. Its operating temperature range, from -25°C to +70°C, allows for permanent installation in both cold and hot climates. Acoustically, it combines a 25 mm dome tweeter with a 200 mm midrange/woofer, for a frequency response of 70 Hz to 20 kHz and a sensitivity of 90 dB, with a power handling of 150 watts under an impedance of 8 ohms.
The integrated wall-mounting system, which pivots through 180°, makes installation easy and allows sound projection to be directed according to the layout of the space. Weighing 4.1 kg, the Rain 8 is aimed at those wishing to equip an outdoor or semi-outdoor space with durable sound reinforcement, capable of withstanding weather variations while maintaining good listening quality.

What to check before buying used
With this type of outdoor speaker, it is worth checking the condition of the cabinet and its UV treatment, which can deteriorate after prolonged sun exposure. Also check the condition of the rust-proof protective grille, as well as the proper functioning of the pivoting mounting system, whose joints can seize up over time.
