Description
The Vision 4 G2 is a belt-drive turntable, fitted with a built-in RIAA preamp with Line/Phono selector. It allows classic analogue playback via its RCA outputs, wireless listening thanks to built-in Bluetooth, as well as digitisation of vinyl records via its USB connection.
The motor drives the platter via belt, a solution that limits the transmission of mechanical vibrations to the cartridge. The turntable offers two rotation speeds, 33 and 45 rpm, with speed variation contained to ±1%. Wow and flutter, below 0.15%, reflects good rotational stability, while the signal-to-noise ratio of 55 dB places the unit in an entry-level to mid-range category. The straight tonearm has an effective length of 218.5 mm.
The connectivity includes an analogue RCA output, a USB link and Bluetooth, with a dedicated button for wireless transmission. Power is supplied via an external 12V/500mA AC/DC adaptor, and the turntable is simply controlled via an on/off selector on the platter and an ON/OFF button on the rear panel.
This turntable is aimed at those wanting a first approach to vinyl or a simple setup, without a separate phono amp, while retaining the option of playing sound through Bluetooth speakers or digitising their collection via USB. What to check before buying used
The original cartridge and its stylus deserve a listening check across the full frequency range, as wear on the tip quickly results in sibilance or a dull sound. The belt, prone to loosening over time, should remain supple and not slip when the platter starts up. Also check the stability of the tonearm at 218.5 mm and proper Bluetooth pairing, two points that reveal intensive use of the unit.
