Description
The EH-QB1000 is a 3LCD laser projector designed to project images in 4K PRO-UHD resolution, in native 16:9 format, with HDR10+ support. It is aimed at installations seeking large image diagonals, up to 300 inches, in rooms dedicated to video or home cinema.
Its laser light source delivers 3300 lumens in both colour brightness and white light output, a level that maintains a correct rendering even in partial ambient light. The claimed dynamic contrast of 5,000,000:1 enhances black depth and image relief, while colour reproduction can reach 1.07 billion colours. Several software features accompany the image: 4K frame interpolation, super resolution and 4K enhancement, useful for refining the sharpness of sources that are not natively 4K.
On the optical side, the projection ratio ranges from 1.35 to 2.84:1, with a motorised zoom of 1 to 2.1x and motorised focus. What to check before buying used
The laser source of this projector is not very prone to ageing, but it is best to check the operating hours counter via the menu as well as the condition of the optical module, as excessive dirt build-up can result in a loss of brightness or marks on the image. The proper functioning of the zoom, focus and especially the motorised lens shift should be tested through their full range, as these mechanisms can seize up or become misaligned over time. A check of the vents and the absence of any abnormal noise from the cooling system is also recommended.
