FEZZ AUDIO Luna

The Luna is a stereo valve integrated amplifier designed by Fezz Audio, a Polish brand founded in 2014 by Maciej and Tomasz Lachowski. It operates in push-pull class AB1 and features four EL34 tubes paired with three 12AX7 preamplifier tubes, a classic configuration for valve amplifiers prized for their warm timbre and natural dynamics.

The unit offers two selectable operating modes: ultralinear, delivering a rated power of 40 W per channel, and triode, capped at 20 W but noted for its finer sound texture. Total harmonic distortion remains below 0.05% at full power on a 1 kHz signal, while the frequency response spans from 16 Hz to 115 kHz. The signal-to-noise ratio reaches -82 dB and the damping factor exceeds 20, values that indicate reasonable control of loudspeakers despite the valve architecture. The 50 kΩ input impedance and 0.7 V sensitivity determine compatibility with associated sources.

The Luna accepts speakers with an impedance of 4 Ω or 8 Ω and has three RCA inputs plus one DIRECT input. It includes a subwoofer output (sub-out), an HT connection (pre-in) allowing it to be used as a power amplifier within a home cinema system, as well as a slot for a modular expansion card. An infrared remote control and a protective cage for the tubes are supplied.

This model is aimed at valve sound enthusiasts wanting greater versatility than a traditional valve amplifier, thanks to the ultralinear/triode switch and the HT connectivity enabling integration into a multichannel system. The 20 kg weight and dimensions of 354 x 420 x 235 mm call for a sufficiently sturdy and well-ventilated cabinet or shelf, with consumption rising to 250 W at full power.
