Cerabase Slimline is a range of decoupling plates designed by Finite Elemente to replace the original feet of audio components. It is positioned as an alternative to be fitted beneath a hi-fi unit, in place of its original supports.
The feet supplied as standard with many components use strongly damping materials, which can hinder the sonic potential of the unit by restricting the natural dissipation of vibrations. Cerabase Slimline aims to correct this behaviour by promoting a more suitable deflection of resonances, while retaining a neat appearance thanks to its slim profile.

What to check before buying used
The ceramic ball housed beneath each plate supports a precise load point: an impact can chip it or shift its seating, which immediately alters the intended vibrational behaviour. Check that the set is complete, with the number of plates matching that intended for the original unit. The upper face, usually lacquered, marks easily with scratches and micro-chips, especially at the edges.
