Description
The 1000 ICA6 is a coaxial speaker designed to be installed directly into the ceiling, intended for stereo and Home Cinema installations seeking complete visual discretion. Its design meets Dolby Atmos specifications, allowing it to be integrated into multichannel configurations oriented towards overhead sound immersion.
The 16.5 cm midrange-bass driver is paired with a 25 mm pure Beryllium inverted dome tweeter, whose level and orientation are adjustable to fine-tune sound dispersion according to the actual listening position in the room. The overall design incorporates a 35° angle, intended to direct radiation towards the listening area rather than diffusing it uniformly downwards. The sensitivity of 90.5 dB (2.83V/1m) and a bandwidth of 55 Hz to 44 kHz allow for extended reproduction, with a low-end cut-off at 45 Hz (-6 dB). The nominal impedance of 8 Ω, with a minimum of 5.1 Ω, allows operation with amplifiers delivering between 25 and 150 W.
This speaker is aimed at those installing a Home Cinema room or multiroom distribution who do not want visible floor-standing or stand-mounted speakers, particularly for Dolby Atmos configurations requiring height channels. What to check before buying used
When buying used, it is worth checking the condition of the magnetic grilles, which should fit securely without excessive play, as well as the condition of the trim felt, if supplied. It is useful to test the tweeter's adjustment and swivel mechanism, a mechanical point that can seize or loosen over time. A listening check of the midrange-bass driver and the Beryllium tweeter, which is sensitive to impacts due to the thinness of the dome, helps ensure there is no deformation or delamination of the diaphragm.
