Description
The 1000 ICLCR5 is a ceiling-mounted, flush-fit speaker designed for Home Cinema listening, made in France by Focal. It fits entirely into the ceiling and can serve as the front left, centre or right channel, or as the left or right rear channel, making it adaptable to different multichannel configurations.
It features a "W" cone on the woofer and midrange drivers, along with a 25 mm pure Beryllium inverted dome tweeter. The midrange-tweeter panel is pivoting and the tweeter level is adjustable, allowing the listening point to be directed and the sound to be adjusted according to the room configuration. The loading type is bass-reflex.
In terms of performance, sensitivity is 91 dB (2.83 V/1 m), with a ±3 dB bandwidth of 53 Hz to 40 kHz and a -6 dB low-end cut-off of 43 Hz. Nominal impedance is 8 Ω, with a minimum of 2.9 Ω, for a recommended amplification power of between 50 and 180 W.
This speaker is aimed at those who wish to integrate a multichannel Home Cinema system without visible floor-standing or stand-mounted speakers, particularly in living rooms or dedicated rooms where visual discretion is paramount. The supplied magnetic grilles allow the driver to be completely concealed once fitted.

What to check before buying used
When buying used, it is worth checking the condition of the "W" cone and the Beryllium tweeter, which are particularly sensitive to impact and humidity if installed in a poorly ventilated room. The correct operation of the pivoting panel and the tweeter level adjustment should also be checked, as should the presence and condition of the magnetic grilles and the Easy Quick Install fixing system, which are essential for tool-free fitting.
