The Aria Evo X N°2 is a 3-way floorstanding speaker from Focal, designed for domestic hi-fi listening. It relies on a bass-reflex loading and a multi-port system to deliver an extended sound, with a leather-effect front, a glass top panel and removable magnetic fabric grilles.
The acoustic configuration combines two 16.5 cm woofers with Flax flax-fibre cone, a 16.5 cm midrange driver fitted with a TMD suspension, and a 2.5 cm aluminium/magnesium TAM inverted dome tweeter. The crossover frequencies are set at 290 Hz and 2400 Hz, split across the three drive units. Frequency response extends from 45 Hz to 30 kHz (+/- 3 dB), with a -6 dB response reaching down to 37 Hz, reflecting a relatively deep bass reproduction for a speaker of this size.

What to check before buying used
With this floorstanding format, check the cabinet and the glass top panel, which are prone to chips and micro-scratches during removals. Check the flexibility of the suspensions on both Flax woofers, as sagging or abnormal stiffness would indicate a unit left unused for a long period. Also check that the magnetic fabric grilles are present and that their magnets still hold properly, and listen at moderate volume across the full frequency range to detect any unwanted noise from the tweeter or midrange.
