What to check before buying used
Check the condition of the microfibre/memory foam ear cushions, often compressed or coming away on a previously worn unit, as well as the headband padding. Examine the open grilles at the rear of the earcups, exposed to knocks and dust, and test each driver separately to rule out any channel imbalance or crackling. Finally, check the detachable cable and its jack connectors at the earcups, common wear points with use.
