Description
The OD Sub 12 is a subwoofer from Focal, specifically designed for outdoor installation. It complements sound diffusion in gardens, terraces or landscaped areas by providing the low register, with the possibility of being partially buried to blend into the environment.
The 30 cm woofer with Iris IP cone delivers a nominal power of 100 W RMS and can withstand peaks of up to 400 W, for a bandwidth of 40 Hz to 120 Hz and a sensitivity of 90 dB. The nominal impedance of 6 ohms, with a minimum of 5 ohms at 55 Hz, allows it to be paired with an 8 ohm amplifier with a recommended power between 50 and 300 watts. A built-in transformer makes the unit compatible with 70/100 V lines, useful for covering large areas without loss of power. Its IP55 certification and temperature tolerance of -20° to 65° allow it to remain exposed to weather conditions and climatic variations.
This subwoofer is aimed at those wishing to structure a durable outdoor audio installation, for gardens, terraces or public or semi-public spaces requiring sound coverage over a wide area.
