Description
The On Wall 302 is an on-wall speaker designed by Focal to fit around a television or complement a stereo installation. Its bevelled, slim and compact profile, along with its removable magnetic grille and rotating logo, allow it to be angled according to the listening position while retaining a discreet line.
The speaker features a 2.5-way bass-reflex design, fitted with four 100 mm midrange/woofer drivers with Flax cone and a 2.5 cm inverted dome tweeter. The bass-reflex design promotes bass reproduction with power and impact despite the on-wall format, while the crossover frequencies at 1100 Hz and 2500 Hz organise the division of work between the drivers and the tweeter. With a sensitivity of 91 dB and a recommended power of 40 W to 180 W, it accepts a wide range of amplification. Its frequency response extends from 50 Hz to 28 kHz (+- 3 dB), with a -6 dB response reaching down to 40 Hz.
It is intended for those wishing to build an on-wall Home Cinema or stereo installation, for example by positioning two speakers on either side of a television, a third in the centre position, or by installing them on optional stands. Its rear mounting and vertical or horizontal position offer a degree of configuration freedom depending on the available space.

What to check before buying used
On this type of bass-reflex on-wall speaker, check the condition of the magnetic grille and its fixing, as well as the flexibility of the suspensions on the Flax cone drivers, which can stiffen over time. Also check the inverted dome tweeter, which is sensitive to impacts, and make sure the wall-mounting accessories are present and complete.
