Offered by Focal as an accessory to the Kanta range, this stand is a speaker support designed to accommodate the Kanta N°1, the compact model in the series. It transforms a bookshelf speaker into a floor-standing set, without resorting to a piece of furniture or a shelf, and constitutes the installation solution intended by the manufacturer for this model.
This is the large-format version of the stand, with height adjustable between 615 and 641 mm. This adjustment range is not incidental: it allows the vertical position of the speaker to be fine-tuned by a few millimetres, in order to align the axis of the drivers with the ear height of the seated listener. A tweeter placed too low or too high loses precision and clarity in the upper part of the spectrum; this adjustment serves precisely to correct this according to the armchair, sofa, or room configuration.
This stand is aimed at those who own a pair of Kanta N°1 and wish to install them in a dedicated listening room or living room, in a classic configuration, rather than on an improvised piece of furniture. It is suitable both for close stereo listening and for integration as front channels in a multichannel system, whenever the height of the speakers needs to be controlled.

What to check before buying used
The height adjustment mechanism is the first point to examine: check that it slides without play, that it locks firmly once the desired height is chosen, and that the screws have not been forced. Next, check the flatness of the base and the condition of the spikes or decoupling pads, which are often lost or replaced with mismatched parts from one resale to the next. Finally, the finish of the column deserves a close look: scratches and chips are all the more visible given that a stand remains permanently within the field of view, and a stand sold individually is difficult to re-match afterwards.
