Focal Theva Center

The Theva Center is a centre speaker designed by Focal to integrate into a home cinema system from the Theva range. It sits on a piece of furniture or on a dedicated stand available as an option, and its role is to reproduce dialogue with precision, complementing the front speakers, surround speakers and subwoofer of the system.

Its sealed 2-way architecture combines a 25 mm aluminium-magnesium inverted dome TNF tweeter with two 16.5 cm diameter Slatefiber woofer/midrange drivers. The crossover frequency is set at 2100 Hz, which divides the work between the tweeter for the treble and the two drivers for the midrange and bass. The frequency response extends from 59 Hz to 28 kHz at ±3 dB, with a low-frequency cut-off at -6 dB measured at 51 Hz. The 91 dB sensitivity (2.83 V/1 m) delivers a satisfying sound level without requiring excessive amplification power: Focal recommends an amplifier of 40 to 200 W. The nominal impedance of 8 Ω, with a minimum of 3.8 Ω, must remain compatible with the capabilities of the amplifier used.

This centre speaker is aimed at those who already own, or plan to assemble, a home cinema system from the Theva range, with front speakers, surround speakers and a subwoofer from the same family, in a room where dialogue clarity and aesthetic integration matter as much as sound performance.

Made in France, the Theva Center pays close attention to finishing: applied front baffle, clean black or wood finishes, metallised and screen-printed rings, magnetic grille attachment and a port positioned at the rear of the cabinet.
