Description
The Furutech Digi Reference III is a digital coaxial cable designed to connect a digital source, CD player, transport or network player, to a converter or amplifier fitted with a DAC. What to check before buying used
The quality of the connection depends mainly on the condition of the RCA or BNC connectors: oxidised pins, play in the locking mechanism or solder joints weakened through use degrade the digital signal transmission. Also check that the shielding has not been bent or crushed, as repeated pinching can create micro-breaks in the internal strands. The sheath deserves a visual inspection along its entire length to rule out cracks or nicks at the flex points.
