Description
The E-TP60E is a mains power strip from Furutech, designed for powering audio and hi-fi installations. It forms part of the brand's range of power filters and power strips, designed to isolate each connection from electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference.
Its Axial Locking system is based on a locking screw that secures each receptacle to prevent any movement over time. This mechanical fixing is intended to guarantee long-lasting contact stability and to optimise the contact surfaces between the plug and the receptacle, a point often overlooked on conventional power strips.
The torque applied to each locking system is calculated using a 3M material, chosen to provide the best possible isolation at each connection. Four spikes are supplied with the unit, intended to complete its isolation, particularly with regard to vibrations and resonances from the surface on which it rests.
This power strip is aimed at hi-fi enthusiasts keen to take care of their system's power supply, particularly when several sensitive components (amplifier, player, DAC) need to be connected to the mains on a single unit. It finds its place in an installation where the quality of the power supply is considered just as important as that of the sources or speakers.

What to check before buying used
The locking screw of the Axial Locking system should be checked: insufficient tightening or worn threading compromises the contact stability this model is designed for. Also inspect the four supplied spikes, which are often lost or replaced with non-original examples, as well as the 3M insulating material beneath each receptacle, which can degrade over time. Finally, check for any play or signs of overheating at the receptacles themselves.
