Description
The e-TP80ES NCF is a mains power distributor designed for audio-video installations. It distributes current across eight schuko outlets, four filtered and four direct, allowing components sensitive to electrical noise to be separated from more tolerant or power-hungry devices, such as power amplifiers.
The aluminium chassis protects the internal circuits against radio frequency interference, while the internal wiring uses Furutech μ-14 wire in 14 AWG to limit resistance along the current path. The four filtered outlets incorporate a noise filter offering attenuation of -20 dB to 92 dB over a range of 2 to 100 MHz, reducing high-frequency disturbances before they reach the connected devices. Surge protection is provided by a system capable of absorbing up to 4500 A of peak current (8x20 μs) and 6000 V of peak voltage, with an energy capacity of 40 J over 2 ms.
Electrically, the unit is designed for a 230 VAC 50/60 Hz supply, a current of 10 A and a maximum power of 2500 W, which covers most domestic hi-fi and home cinema configurations. The insulation resistance, greater than 300 MΩ at 500 VDC, and a current leakage of less than 1 mA reflect a design carefully considered from an electrical safety standpoint.
This distributor is aimed at hi-fi and home cinema enthusiasts with a setup made up of several components (source, preamplifier, power amplifier, screen) who wish to organise their mains power supply while reducing the noise carried by the domestic electrical network. Its 2500 W capacity and eight outlets allow a set of components to be powered from a single distribution point.

What to check before buying used
Test each outlet, both filtered and direct, under real load: an oxidised contact or Schuko outlet contacts loosened by years of plugging and unplugging can result in micro-cutouts or an unstable earth that is difficult to diagnose afterwards. Also check the integrity of the internal Furutech μ-14 wiring and ensure there is no play in the mains cord or its fixing to the chassis. The surge protection components (varistors, MOVs) wear with each clamping event: a unit that has been through several storms may have lost some of its protective capacity without this being visible from the outside.
