What to check before buying used
Check the tightness of the screw at the cable entry: on a unit already assembled, a cord that has been unplugged too often may have loosened the grip or marked the pins. Inspect the nylon/fibreglass body for cracks near the polycarbonate, particularly if the plug has been forced onto a cable close to 16 mm. Also check for signs of overheating around the contacts, an indication of poor contact or use beyond the 16A/250V rating.
