Furutech Pure Power 6 E NCF

The Pure Power 6 E NCF is a mains conditioner designed to filter and stabilise the electrical supply to a hi-fi system. It is placed between the wall socket and the audio equipment, with the function of delivering a stable current while limiting the electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference that can affect the signal.

The chassis is CNC-machined from an aluminium alloy, a process that provides protection against RFI interference. The unit is organised into three isolated compartments, each housing a duplex of two independently powered outlets: this separation allows one circuit to be dedicated to a digital source, another to analogue, and a third to the amplifier, in order to limit interactions between equipment. The outlets rest on Teflon insulation and alpha-treated silver-plated OFC copper conductors. The positive and neutral poles of the IEC inlet are enclosed in a central chamber secured by eight rivets and treated with Formula GC-303 material, designed to absorb EMI and suppress high-frequency noise carried by power cables. The rhodium-plated receptacles are not simply set into the chassis but bored 25 mm into the thickness of the aluminium, with a rim held by aluminium blocks applying pressure along its full length, and each duplex is stabilised by a dual axial locking system at the rear. The unit rests on four adjustable machined feet.
