Fyne Audio F1-5

The F1-5 is a bookshelf speaker from Fyne Audio, designed as a compact version of the F1-8 model. Its cabinet is handmade and sits on a machined aluminium plinth, which houses the brand's BassTrax LF diffuser.

The speaker pairs a 125 mm IsoFlare low-frequency driver with a 19 mm magnesium dome compression tweeter, arranged as a point source with a rubber FyneFlute surround. This configuration forms a time-aligned transducer, designed to deliver isotropic radiation across the full audio spectrum. The crossover is a passive low-loss single-wire system with a 2nd-order low-pass and 1st-order high-pass, benefiting from deep cryogenic treatment. A presence control (2.5 kHz - 5.0 kHz) allows the output to be adjusted by +/- 3 dB. The frequency response extends from 48 Hz to 38 kHz, with a sensitivity of 87 dB and a nominal impedance of 8 Ohm.

The F1-5 is aimed at enthusiasts of compact bookshelf speakers seeking high-end British design, with a recommended amplification power of between 30 and 100 W RMS, suited to small to medium-sized setups.
