The CD 5.2 is a high-end CD player from Gold Note, part of the brand's Series 5.2. It houses a playback mechanism and a digital-to-analogue converter within a single chassis, designed to reproduce compact discs with minimal signal degradation.

The sandblasted black anodised aluminium chassis has been designed to limit interaction with surrounding magnetic fields, contributing to a more stable electrical and mechanical environment. The player relies on a Stream Unlimited (SUOS-Hifi) loading tray and reads CD, CD-R and CD-RW formats in accordance with the Red Book standard. The stated figures reflect careful design: a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (± 0.3 dB), a total harmonic distortion of 0.001% maximum, a signal-to-noise ratio of 124 dB, a dynamic range of 123 dB and a speed fluctuation of 0.0001%. These values translate into stable playback, with very low background noise and good preservation of the finest nuances of the signal.
