The GoldenEar Aon 2 are compact bookshelf speakers, originally designed as near-field monitors for professional mixing applications. Their reduced footprint, intended for placement on a shelf or stand, aims for accurate, detailed sound reproduction, with three-dimensional imaging inspired by the Triton Two floorstanding speakers, the brand's flagship model.
The Aon 2 feature bass/midrange drivers designed by GoldenEar, with technology derived directly from the midrange units developed for the Triton range. They also incorporate the high-velocity folded ribbon (HVFR) high-frequency radiator, also found on the Triton, responsible for delivering refined, fast-responding treble.
A distinctive design feature is that each Aon speaker incorporates two side-mounted planar bass radiators, in a dynamically balanced configuration. This arrangement properly loads the bass/midrange drivers, opening up the midrange while helping to extend the bass despite the cabinet's compact size.

What to check before buying used
