Grado SR125x

The SR125x is an open-back hifi headphone from the American brand Grado, positioned in the Prestige range just below the SR225x. It is intended for home music listening, in a quiet environment, and focuses on the reproduction of timbres and sonic detail rather than isolation or portability.

The SR125x features a 4th-generation Grado driver, specially developed for this model. This new design combines a more powerful magnetic circuit, an acoustic voice coil with reduced effective mass and a reconfigured diaphragm, all integrated into a 44 mm speaker unit. The cable has also been revised: it now comprises 8 conductors housed in a more durable outer sheath, with super-annealed copper wire designed to limit losses and preserve the purity of the audio signal sent to the driver.
