Description
The GO Link is a digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) combined with a headphone amplifier, designed in the form of a USB-C cable that plugs directly into a smartphone, tablet or computer. It allows wired headphones or earphones to be connected to a device without a 3.5 mm jack socket, while providing digital-to-analogue conversion of better quality than that built into most commercially available devices.
The DAC and amplifier housing, encased in a magnesium alloy, is connected to the USB-C connector by a flexible 6 cm cable, allowing the module to be angled towards the user while limiting mechanical stress on the USB port. The internal silver-plated copper conductors, insulated and wired in twisted pairs, are designed to limit inductance, stray capacitance and electromagnetic interference, for a signal transmitted without degradation to the headphones.
In terms of performance, the GO Link delivers 70 mW into 32 ohms, a frequency response of 10 Hz to 80 kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio of 125 dB and a total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) of 0.004%. It accepts PCM streams up to 32-bit/384 kHz, DSD64, DSD128 and DSD256, as well as the MQA format. An LED changes colour depending on the audio format received (PCM, DSD or MQA) and the sampling frequency, allowing the nature of the transmitted signal to be checked at a glance.
This type of DAC dongle is aimed at those who listen mainly on the move, with quality wired headphones or earphones, on a smartphone or laptop that no longer has a jack output. Its compact size (135 x 12.6 x 7.6 mm) and weight of 11 g make it an accessory that is easy to carry every day, slipped into a pocket alongside the source device.

What to check before buying used
The built-in 6 cm cable connects the housing to the USB-C connector: check that it shows no marked kinks or split sheathing, the areas most subject to mechanical stress from repeated plugging in. Also examine the USB-C connector itself, whose contacts can wear or oxidise over time, causing dropouts or unstable recognition by the source device. Testing with several types of headphones (different impedances) confirms that the amp stage and DAC work across the entire stated power range.
