Description
The Isol8 IsoLink Wave cable is a mains cable intended for powering components of a Hi-Fi or AV system. It forms part of the brand's high-end mains cable range, designed to complement Isol8 power conditioners and provide a quality mains connection between the wall socket and audio equipment.
Its construction relies on high-purity, silver-plated copper live and neutral conductors, insulated with a PFA polymer. This type of insulation and plating aims to limit signal losses linked to electrical conduction and preserve the quality of the current delivered to connected equipment. What to check before buying used
Check the condition of the mains and IEC connectors: oxidised pins or plugs, play in the socket or signs of overheating indicate a cable that has been mistreated. Examine the sheath along its full length for pinching, excessive twisting or nicks that could compromise the shielding and PFA insulation. A continuity test on the conductors and earth remains the best way to ensure no internal break has occurred at the crimp points.
