Isol8 MiniSub Wave

The Isol8 MiniSub Wave is a filtered mains distribution block, designed to power the various links of an audio system from a single point. Its purpose is not merely to multiply the number of available outlets, but to treat the quality of the current reaching each device, taking into account the fact that a system brings together equipment with very different electrical behaviours.

Its architecture is based on that of the MiniSub Axis, to which Isol8 adds complementary filtering stages. The distribution is split into two distinct domains: on one side, four outlets reserved for low or medium consumption devices, and on the other, two outlets sized for high currents. This separation addresses a concrete problem, that of cross-contamination: a device that feeds noise back onto the line disturbs its neighbours plugged into the same strip.

To address this, each of the four outlets intended for low and medium currents has its own filter, employing the Transmodal technology developed by the brand. Filtering is therefore not shared across the whole unit but applied outlet by outlet, allowing devices to be electrically isolated from one another. The two high-current outlets, meanwhile, are treated by a newly designed high-performance filter, suited to significant current draws without restricting dynamics.

This type of configuration suits complete installations, where digital sources, players, preamplification and power amplifiers coexist. Sources, particularly sensitive to common-mode and differential noise, find their place on the individually filtered outlets, while amplification benefits from the high-current line. This is a solution that will appeal to listeners who already have an established system and are faced with a degraded domestic electrical network, or one shared with polluting loads.
