The JBL SA750 is a stereo integrated amplifier that combines a Class G amplifier design with a high-resolution digital DAC and a switchable MM/MC phono input. What to check before buying used
The motorised volume potentiometer deserves a test across its full range, listening for any crackling or channel imbalance. Also check the proper operation of the MM/MC phono input and the absence of hum, as well as the stable recognition of the ESS Sabre DAC via the optical and coaxial inputs. The internal capacitors, stressed by the Class G stage, may lose performance with age: checking for heat build-up and stability under power is recommended.
