Description
The Jolida Music Envoy is a valve stereo preamplifier fitted with an MM/MC-compatible phono input. It allows a complete hi-fi system to be driven, handling both line sources and vinyl playback without a separate phono preamplifier.
The unit houses four valves: two 12AX7 and two 12AT7. Its power supply is split into multiple sections, with three units each dedicated to a separate preamplification stage, plus a fourth power supply reserved for the MM/MC phono stage. This separation of power supplies aims to limit interaction between stages and preserve the definition of the different sound planes. The chassis is built using point-to-point wiring, a construction technique that shortens the connections between components. The motorised volume potentiometer, positioned on the front panel, can be controlled remotely using the supplied remote control. What to check before buying used
