JVC DLA-NZ700
Description
JVC has entirely redesigned this projector to offer the most compact native 4K model in its range. The optical unit, the lens and the full set of printed circuit boards result from an entirely new development.
Frame Adapt HDR technology moves to generation 2. Its exclusive algorithm analyses the maximum brightness of each scene in real time for HDR10 content and adjusts the tone mapping to optimise the projected dynamic range. This new tone mapping algorithm has been thoroughly revised to produce HDR images with finer definition. The proprietary tone curve selection algorithm, inherited from the DLA-NZ700, has also been improved: it enables brighter HDR images, with richer colours and an extended dynamic range.
A new module, Deep Black Tone Control, is added alongside Frame Adapt HDR technology. It relies on a new algorithm that increases tone attenuation in dark areas, to produce more realistic blacks. This function acts on the dynamic range of the DLA-NZ700 and enhances image contrast. Scenes combining bright and dark areas, such as night-time views, thereby gain depth and realism.
The light source is based on the proprietary Blu-Escent laser technology, built on a blue laser diode. It enables the DLA-NZ700 to reach a brightness of 2,300 lumens, with an estimated laser lifespan of around 20,000 hours.
A newly developed, large-aperture 4K lens (80 mm, 11 groups, 15 elements) ensures uniform native 4K D-ILA resolution across the entire projection surface, right into the corners of the image.
