Description
This model is a pair of floor stands designed to raise bookshelf speakers to place them at optimal listening height. It is a dedicated support, designed to accommodate speakers compatible with a 1/4"-20 screw fitting, such as the Kanto YU4 or YU6.
The structure is made of steel, a material chosen to limit parasitic vibrations that can alter sound reproduction. Each stand has a hollow core acting as a cable channel, allowing speaker cabling to be concealed inside the upright rather than left exposed. The top plate rotates 90°, allowing the dispersion angle to be adjusted without having to move the stand itself. Two plate sizes are available, 110 x 180 mm and 178 x 178 mm, and are interchangeable depending on the footprint of the speaker placed on top. Each stand supports a maximum weight of 13 kg. Decoupling spikes and rubber absorbers are supplied to stabilise the assembly and reduce vibration transmission to the floor.
These stands are aimed at those who own bookshelf speakers and wish to install them at a consistent listening height in a living room or a dedicated home cinema room, without resorting to furniture or a shelf that would limit acoustic placement.

What to check before buying used
Check the tightness and absence of play in the rotatable plate, whose rotation mechanism can loosen over time. Inspect the hollow core of the upright for any signs of oxidation inside if the stands have been kept in a damp location. Examine the finish of the steel (dents, chipped paint) as well as the presence and condition of the decoupling spikes and rubber absorbers, which are often missing or hardened on a used item.
