Description
The KEF Ci100.2QR is an in-wall/ceiling speaker designed for installation in partition walls or ceilings. It belongs to KEF's UNI-Q Custom Installation range, a series designed to deliver quality Hi-Fi reproduction while remaining invisible within the décor.
This model is built on KEF's proprietary Uni-Q coaxial technology: a 19mm aluminium dome tweeter is positioned at the acoustic centre of a 100mm white polypropylene cone woofer/midrange, itself fitted with a dual neo compound magnet. This coaxial arrangement allows both drivers to radiate from a common point of origin, promoting a coherent soundstage even off-axis, an advantage for an in-wall speaker whose installation angle is not always ideal.
The Ci100.2QR can be installed back-open, directly in the wall or ceiling cavity, or in a dedicated enclosure with a volume of 0.71 litres. This mounting flexibility allows the installation to be adapted to the constraints of each room, particularly when the space available behind the partition is limited or when acoustic isolation is required.
This speaker is aimed at those wishing to incorporate discreet sound diffusion into a living room, office or any space where aesthetics must take priority over the visual presence of speakers, without sacrificing the listening quality expected from a Hi-Fi installation.
