Description
The KEF Mu7 is a wireless over-ear headphone designed for on-the-go listening, built to deliver faithful sound reproduction while travelling. Its design, signed by Ross Lovegrove, combines sculptural forms with function, featuring memory foam ear cushions covered in synthetic leather that mould to the head while ensuring acoustic sealing.
Its 40 mm transducers cover a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a sensitivity of 118.5 dBSPL/1mW at 1kHz and an impedance of 16 Ω. Intelligent active noise cancelling, combined with Clear Voice Capture (cVc) technology, aims to isolate listening from ambient noise and clarify voice during calls. A capacitive touchpad on the right earcup allows control of calls, tracks, volume and the voice assistant through taps and swipes. As for battery life, the 1100 mAh Li-ion battery offers up to 40 hours of listening with Bluetooth and active noise cancelling engaged, and a 15-minute quick charge restores an additional 8 hours.

What to check before buying used
The 1100 mAh Li-ion battery is the element to check first on this model: after several years of use, the stated 40-hour battery life may have decreased. It is also advisable to test the capacitive touchpad on the right earcup, which controls calls, volume and tracks, as well as the condition of the memory foam ear cushions, which may compress or crack over time. Checking that the active noise cancelling and Bluetooth pairing work properly is also recommended before purchase.
