KEF Q350

The KEF Q350 is a 2-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker, designed for setups where available space is limited. It relies on the Uni-Q coaxial driver, a proprietary technology that places the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the midrange/woofer cone so as to align the emission points of both transducers.

This coaxial arrangement combines a 16.5 cm woofer with an aluminium cone and a 2.5 cm aluminium dome tweeter, surrounded by a KEF crown waveguide that widens sound dispersion. The tweeter benefits from a damped loading tube to control sound emitted to the rear, while a low-distortion coil equips the crossover. The vent, designed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and repositioned to the rear of the cabinet, limits disturbances linked to midrange frequencies at the vent outlet. Frequency response extends from 42 Hz to 28 kHz (-6 dB), with a crossover frequency set at 2.5 kHz. Sensitivity of 87 dB (2.83 V / 1 m) and impedance of 8 ohms (3.7 ohms minimum) allow use with amplifiers delivering 15 W to 120 W, for a maximum sound level of 110 dB.
