Kelinac Kel 511 MG

The Kel 511 MG is a floorstanding speaker from Kelinac, designed by reusing the midrange-tweeter section from the flagship 811 model and the cabinet of the 511. This hybridisation aims to combine the refinement of a higher range with a more accessible format, whilst maintaining acoustic coherence between the different drivers.

The bass is handled by two 13 cm woofers with carbon-kevlar cones, known for their rigidity, paired with a high-excursion suspension. The midrange, also 13 cm and taken from the 811, uses the same carbon-kevlar technology with an aluminium phase plug. At the top of the spectrum, a 25 mm magnesium dome tweeter with a neodymium motor offers a sensitivity of 95 dB at an impedance of 8 ohms.

This architecture is presented as delivering a transparent and dynamic reproduction, with low harmonic distortion across the midrange and bass, and no pronounced directivity from the tweeter. The harmonic continuity between the low-frequency section and the midrange-tweeter section is stated as a key strength of the design, intended to offer a particularly well-defined sound image.
