The Klipsch RP-502S II is a bipolar surround speaker from the Reference Premiere series, intended for reproducing side and rear sound effects in a home cinema setup. Its bipolar design radiates sound in two opposite directions, which helps create a sense of sonic envelopment rather than a clearly localisable point source.
The speaker features two 13.3 cm woofer-midrange drivers with a Cerametallic cone and aluminium surround, paired with two 2.5 cm titanium dome tweeters mounted on a Tractrix 90x90° horn with LTS suspension. What to check before buying used
Check that both Cerametallic drivers and Tractrix tweeters respond symmetrically from one speaker to the other, with no unwanted noise or visible tearing around the cones.
