Description
The WF35 Icon is a floorstanding speaker from Klipsch's Icon range, designed according to the principles that have made the American brand's reputation: high efficiency and dynamic reproduction. It is installed as a main speaker in a stereo or home cinema system, as a front left or right channel.
The bass section relies on three 13 cm woofers with woven fibreglass cones, arranged in a column within a bass-reflex cabinet. The treble is handled by a 25 mm titanium diaphragm compression driver, coupled to a round Tractrix horn with an 80° × 80° dispersion angle, a Klipsch-specific technology that promotes wide and even diffusion throughout the room. The crossover frequency between the two sections is set at 2,500 Hz.

What to check before buying used
Check the condition of the surrounds on the three 13 cm woofers: sagging, hardening or tearing of the surround affects bass performance and can cause a rubbing noise at high volume. Also inspect the Tractrix horn and the titanium diaphragm of the compression driver, which are sensitive to impacts and handling marks. Review the bass-reflex cabinet woodwork, corners, veneer, bass-reflex port, and listen to each speaker separately to detect any level mismatch or distortion between the two units.
