The Model CD is a compact disc player designed by Tivoli Audio to restore the CD a central place in a modern listening system. It allows you to play a CD collection while streaming the sound wirelessly to compatible speakers, without sacrificing the fidelity of the CD format.
The unit stands out with its minimalist styling and illuminated touch controls, designed to simplify everyday use. It comes with a dedicated wireless app, Tivoli Audio Wireless, which allows you to control the unit and also stream music services to any speaker connected to the Model CD.
Wireless streaming is directed to speakers from the ART range by Tivoli Audio, with which the Model CD can form a complete stereo system. For existing installations, a 3.5 mm analogue output allows the player to be connected to speakers or an amplifier already in place.
This player is aimed at music lovers who still own a CD collection and want to use it within a wireless system, without having to go through a computer or a streaming service every time. What to check before buying used
The optical block remains the sensitive point: request a playback test on several CDs, including burned discs, to rule out any skipping or refusal to play linked to a worn laser. Also check that the tray opens and closes without noise or jerking, a sign that the mechanism is still sound. Finally, test wireless pairing with a compatible speaker and the 3.5 mm analogue output, as well as the responsiveness of the touch controls.
