The Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 is a connected integrated amplifier in a compact format, designed to centralise the playback of digital, analogue and network sources within a single unit. Its matte black aluminium and glass finish reflects a clean Danish design approach, intended to blend discreetly into a living room or listening space.
The unit features the RoomPerfect acoustic auto-calibration system, which analyses the room's characteristics via a dedicated microphone in order to adjust the sound rendering to actual listening conditions. In terms of power, it delivers 2 x 60 W RMS into 8 ohms, with a maximum output current of 30 A, a frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz and a total harmonic distortion of 0.05%. The built-in DAC processes signals up to 384 kHz at 24 bits, ensuring careful digital-to-analogue conversion for both digital sources and network streams.
The connectivity meets the needs of a mixed audio and video setup: coaxial and optical digital inputs, an HDMI ARC input for connection to a television (with CEC synchronisation to control power on/off and volume from the TV remote), an analogue RCA input, and a stereo analogue RCA output that can be used as a preamplifier output or connected to a subwoofer. An RCA phono input with built-in RIAA preamplification also allows a turntable to be connected directly without an external phono stage.
On the network and wireless side, the TDAI-1120 offers Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, built-in Chromecast, Roon Ready compatibility, DLNA/uPnP, internet radio via vTuner and Spotify Connect, as well as a media player for playback from a USB storage device.

What to check before buying used
The motorised potentiometer and output relays deserve a listening check: crackling or a channel cutting out near the end of the volume range indicates worn contacts. Also check that the RoomPerfect module works properly and that the original calibration microphone is present, as it is essential for using the acoustic correction. Testing the HDMI ARC inputs and the network connection (Wi-Fi/Ethernet) helps ensure no port has a faulty contact after several years of use.
