Description
The Magnat IW 810 is an in-wall speaker designed to blend discreetly into a room, whether wall- or ceiling-mounted, while providing the sound reproduction of a hi-fi or home cinema system. This type of solution allows you to enjoy sound reproduction without the speaker taking up floor space or standing out visually within the decor.
The IW 810's woofer and midrange drivers use a diaphragm made of carbon and fibreglass. This type of composite material is valued for its lightness combined with good rigidity, two qualities that favour a precise driver response across bass and midrange frequencies.
The 25 mm tweeter features an aluminium dome and a powerful neodymium magnet system. Aluminium gives the dome good rigidity to limit distortion at high frequencies, while the neodymium motor allows for a more compact assembly while maintaining high driving force.
This in-wall speaker is intended for home integration use, for a multiroom installation, a home cinema system, or supplementary sound reproduction in a room where you wish to avoid the presence of traditional floorstanding or stand-mounted speakers.
What to check before buying used
When buying used, you should check the condition of the woofer and midrange diaphragms, which must show no tearing or deformation, as well as the integrity of the tweeter's aluminium dome, which is sensitive to impact. A check of the protective grille and the in-wall chassis is also recommended, as these parts may have suffered wear from wall or ceiling installation.
