Description
The Motion 40i is a floorstanding speaker from MartinLogan, positioned above the Motion 20 in the manufacturer's range. It is installed at the front of a Hi-Fi system or home cinema setup, as a centre channel or in a stereo pair.
This floorstanding speaker features two oversized aluminium cone woofers, paired with a bass port located at the rear of the cabinet. The more generous cone surface compared to the Motion 20 delivers greater sound output and deeper bass. The use of a dedicated woofer for low frequencies also frees up the midrange, which gains in openness and precision.
The top of the spectrum is handled by a Folded Motion tweeter, a signature MartinLogan technology. Combined with the trio of woofers, it aims for sonic coherence across the entire frequency spectrum, from bass through midrange to treble.
