Description
The Lyra 2.1 is a hifi rack designed by Bassocontinuo to house the components of an audio system: turntable, amplifier, player or digital source. It comes in a standard 3-tier configuration, with a fully modular metal structure allowing shelves to be added or the height between them to be changed after purchase, simply by swapping the spacers.
The height between shelves can be adjusted to one of five values: 90, 140, 190, 240 or 290 mm, allowing the rack to be adapted to the size of each component, including bulky power amplifiers. Each shelf is 25 mm thick and offers a usable space of 510 x 510 mm, with the top shelf providing a more generous surface of 600 x 550 mm. The maximum load per shelf is 60 kg, a capacity designed to accommodate heavy components without compromising the stability of the unit.
The rack's decoupling operates on two levels: under each shelf via an elastomer washer placed between the feet and the shelf, and under the rack itself via cups decoupled by SBR rubber. This double isolation aims to limit the transmission of vibrations from the floor to the equipment placed on the rack, a sensitive point for both turntables and electronics susceptible to microphonics.
The Lyra 2.1 is aimed at enthusiasts wishing to organise a complete hifi system on a dedicated support rather than on generic furniture, with the possibility of expanding the number of tiers as acquisitions are made. The spikes are adjustable, making it easier to level on an uneven floor.

What to check before buying used
Check the levelling of the adjustable spike feet, which must remain stable after transport to ensure the stated decoupling. Examine the condition of the elastomer washers under the shelves and the SBR rubber cups under the rack, as these components may harden or compress over time. Also make sure that all spacers matching the original configuration are present, otherwise certain shelf spacings can no longer be reproduced.
