The Charisma Audio is a HiFi unit by Schroers & Schroers, designed to hold audio and video components across several levels. Its structure is built on 20 mm thick glass shelves, designed to provide a stable base for the heaviest components in a hi-fi setup.
Load capacity is a strong point of this unit: the top shelf supports up to 100 kg, while each intermediate shelf takes up to 70 kg. The Soundglas version has different capacities, with 60 kg on the top shelf and 40 kg per shelf, a variant to consider depending on the weight of the equipment to be installed. The complete unit has a total weight of 80 kg, consistent with the use of thick glass shelves.
Its dimensions are 820 x 870 x 540 cm, to be checked before any purchase to ensure compatibility with the space available in the living room or listening room.

What to check before buying used
Inspect the tempered glass shelves under raking light: the edges and fixing holes are the first places where micro-chips appear after dismantling. Check that all the original spacers and structural screws are present, as their absence weakens the stated load capacity per shelf. Also check the levelness on the floor: a unit that has been through several moves may have levelling feet that are seized or missing.
